Welcome. You are reading the blog of 17 year-old. My name is Erich, and I am a fashion wonk, as well as a political nerd and tennis fanatic. This blog is devoted solely to fashion, but I will sometimes change to other subjects if needed.

As for fashion, I care about what I think is interesting, captivating, or relevant. When this is not the case, I care about what I like. Those rules dictate what happens on this blog. This may change, and I’m okay with that. I also like to write. And I’m full of opinions. While most of my writing falls on this blog, I also write for Bite Magazine on fashion and trends.

On questionnaires, I’m often asked how my friends would describe me. They’d probably say that I’m ambitious, with a sense of what I want. I like consistency, but I’m willing to adapt where necessary. I also have a strong sense of what I like and dislike. I sometimes come across as emotionless or brusque, but I promise you I have a soul. Finally, I have a weird obsession with analyzing arguments.

I think the previous paragraph was a bit self-congratulatory, so I’m going to change the subject to my goals and ambitions. I like to write, and becoming a journalist—like a Cathy Horyn or someone of the like—sounds appealing. But I find that, despite my compulsion with writing, editorial fashion is where I belong. That’s why I want to work at Vogue.

In some ways, the blog that you are reading is an extension of that desire. I can’t pinpoint why exactly this is the case. But I’ll find out soon enough. In the mean time, you can enjoy the process.
